Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.117 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Place a debugger in the javascript code 2. Run the application, when paused at the debugger keep pressing f10 to iterate 3. What is the expected behavior? The debugger should let the user iterate smoothly without any interruption when there are no syntax error or any kind of in that case. What went wrong? Observed that the Debugging session crashes when it arrives trim() or indexOf() javascript functions. This is happening only with the latest version, i have been working on the same code past 6 months and i havent faced this kind of issue. Did this work before? Yes Before 66 Chrome version: 66.0.3359.117 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: It shows- "DevTools was disconnected from the Page". I restarted chrome, restarted the computer, reset settings to initial, used incognito, cleared cache. All in vain.

Unable to reproduce this issue on reported version 66.0.3359.117 using Windows 7. Opened devtools sources, opened js file, Set breakpoints, Paused debugger , clicked F10 continuously -- Didn't observe any crash. @Reporter: Please check the video and let us know if we miss anything. Also please provide sample test js file which contains trim and index of as mentioned in comment#0. Any further information on reproducing the issue would help in further debugging of this. Thanks!

I have the same problem, and for me the debugger is now unusable. My JavaScript is quite complex, i'll try to reproduce the case.

@Reporter: Please provide sample test files to reproduce this issue from TE end. And also please attach crash ids from chrome://crashes when you are seeing this crash? This issue looks similar to issue 838503 . Hence cc'ing owner @ahaas and @dgozman from that bug.
