Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_4) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/11.1 Safari/605.1.15 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Input type=search with JS on-change 2. Autofill indicates this input should be filled 3. Search fires automatically without user input What is the expected behavior? User can search for what they want without the browser doing it for them What went wrong? Developer cannot turn off autocomplete filling in the field, whether by setting the input type to "search", telling the browser that it should be off, or setting it to some semantic value like "new-password" (this just delayed the use of autofill on the field until that field had been used enough). Did this work before? No Chrome version: 65.0.3325.181 (Official Build) (64-bit) Channel: n/a OS Version: OS X 10.13.4 Flash Version: This violation of the spec produces bad results for developers and users alike because it is unexpected and there is no simple way to turn off autofill on fields that should not have it.

Hi Thanks for the report. Would you have a sample code or page to show me? I think this really depends on a few other info of the field, like the id, the name, etc. Thanks!
