Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.117 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. visit https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/65.0.3325.181..66.0.3359.117?pretty=fuller&n=10000 2. try to zoom in and out with ctrl+"+" and ctrl+"-" or ctrl+scroolwheel 3. try to keep browsing the page and using the interface, e.g. using ctrl+F/ctrl+G to find text in the page, or clicking and dragging to select some text What is the expected behavior? First, zoom in and out should work. Secondly, the browser should remain responsive always What went wrong? Zoom in and zoom out did absolutely nothing. No zoom in, no zoom out. Then I started experiencing that ctrl+G wouldn't work either, and then I noticed that I couldn't even select text (i.e. I would try to click and drag but nothing would happen). The whole UI was fucking frozen. I opened the task manager and saw that the tab was consuming 100% CPU. Then eventually the prompt appeared that the page was not responding, asking me whether to wait or kill it, I chose to killed it and so the "aw snap" page appered. Tried again, 100% reproducible. It may have to do with the fact that that page is huge, but that's no excuse. Ironically, that webpage belongs to chromium.googlesource.com Crashed report ID: How much crashed? Just one tab Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 66.0.3359.117 Channel: stable OS Version: Flash Version: pathetic

Still 100% reproducible: - merely loading the page takes 100% CPU for a while rendering the tab partially unresponsive - once loaded, try to zoom in and then scroll => doesn't zoom in, freezes the tab completely, unable to scroll or do anything except close the tab. The only part that I can't reproduce (probably random) is the crash. I wonder what the f*** the screenshot in comment 1 is supposed to demonstrate: the page is not zoomed it, so the reproducing steps weren't even attempted as far as can be told from the screenshot. |
