ImageMagick reports an error:
IHDR: CRC error `R:\1.png' @ error/png.c/MagickPNGErrorHandler/1630
And even if it wasn't broken, picture size is 137 gigabytes so I doubt any app could handle it.

Thanks for filing the issue!

Tried checking the issue on reported chrome version 66.0.3359.117 using Windows 10 with the below mentioned steps.
1. Launched chrome
2. Tried downloading the file "1.rar" provided in comment#0
Though the file having 61.7KB downloaded completely, still it isn't showing the status as completed. Attaching the screen shot of the same.

@Reporter: Could you please have a look at the screen shot and provide us with an other file which helps us to triage the issue in a better way.

My best guess is that some anti-malware program (or windows itself) scans the downloaded file. The image size if 128GB (not sure why @woxxom said 137), so if any program scans it, it will probably take a while. I would suggest two options: either you 1) disable scanning downloaded files or 2) wait for it to complete.

Summary: Chrome cannot display 128GB local image file (was: Chrome cannot display local image file)
We are highly likely to not support an image of this size. The memory cost versus benefit of support is not favorable.
