incorrect weight for this font (too bold)

Issue description

Example URL:
https://www.cnet.com/news

Steps to reproduce the problem:
go to https://www.cnet.com/news in Chrome for Android and also Firefox for Android, and if available, Safari for iPhone: Chrome is making the font weight of the headlines too bold.

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
see attached screenshot, I put blue rectangle around the part that is too bold in Chrome for Android

Does it occur on multiple sites: N/A

Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A 

Did this work before? N/A 

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Tested the issue in Android and able to reproduce the issue. Similar behavior is observed since Chrome #60.0.3072.0

Steps Followed:
1. Launched the Chrome Browser.
2. Navigated to  https://www.cnet.com/news
3. Observed the font is looking in Bold

Chrome versions tested:
60.0.3072.0, 66.0.3359.106(Stable), 68.0.3400.0(Canary)

OS:
Android 8.1.0

Android Devices:
Pixel 2

This seems to be a Non-Regression issue as same behavior is seen since M60.  Untriaged for further input's on this issue.

Subtle font rendering differences across platforms is to be expected. It has the default bold variant for the family.
Are you sure? You made a mistake on a very similar bug 791305
And it's not different platforms, Firefox for Android looks identical to Safari for iPhone, Chrome for Android seems to be incorrect, please double check
Can this be reopened for a 2nd opinion please
