Mysterious mobile_app CrOS component extension |

Issue descriptionThere's a mysterious mobile_app CrOS component extension, whose manifest is here [1]. It looks like it is being added to every CrOS build. [2] I don't know what this extension is or if we need it. It sounds like maybe not, in which case we should remove it. It's also been broken in M67/68, since it is a manifest v1 extension, which will no longer be loaded. The fact that no tests are failing also implies that we have no test coverage for it. We should find out what it is, and if we can remove it. Toni(tbarzic) was keeping track of this specific issue. From what I can see this is blocked on https://crbug.com/921077, I don't think this can land by M73. I think most mobile work targeting M74 onward should be moved to LAX.

Yeah, this will not make 73. It's blocked on strings requested in issue 778021 (once we have those, we can remove dependency mobile setup UI has on this extension) |
