Chrome Version: 66.0.3359.117
OS: macOS 10.12
What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Go to chrome://extensions
(2) Click Remove on one of the extensions
(3) Press Cmd-T
What is the expected result?
The modal dialog asking you to confirm removing the extension should not be visible.
What happens instead?
The modal dialog asking you to confirm removing the extension remains visible on the new tab. What's more, you can't click the extensions tab to return to it. Mousing over a tab's close button lights it up in red, but clicking it does nothing.
This is not merely a problem of being able to enter keyboard shortcuts on a tab with a modal dialog. If first discovered this with the modal panel up and choosing Chrome -> About Google Chrome, which created an About tab while keeping the modal dialog visible.
FWIW, it looks like you can Cmd-Option-T to switch to a different tab in the window.
