A11Y: Google book text does not have spaces between words

Project Member Reported by dsexton@chromium.org, Apr 19 2018

Issue description

Chrome: 68.0.3400.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit) (cohort: Clang-64)
Firefox: 52 ESR
Internet Explorer: 11
NVDA: 2018.1.1
JAWS: 2018
Focus 40 braille display

Steps to repro:
# With JAWS or NVDA running, visit https://play.google.com/books/reader?id=MbcaDAAAQBAJ&printsec=frontcover&output=reader&hl=en&pg=GBS.PT3
# Read the book using the down and up arrow keys

Expected: There should be a space between each word
Works as expected in Firefox
IE with JAWS: works as expected

Actual: In chrome, the first joke is read as Anold man went tothe doctorcomplainingofaterriblepain in his leg."I amafraidit'sjustoldage,"replied the doctor. "Thereis nothingwecandoaboutit." "That can't be,"fumed theoldman."Youdon'tknowwhat you are doing.""How canyoupossiblyknowIam wrong?" countered thedoctor. "Wellit'squiteobvious,"theoldman replied. "My otherleg isfine, andit'stheexact same age!"
In IE with NVDA: Speech reads spaces between words, but on the braille display all spaces are removed.

This is not fixed for ChromeVox on Chrome OS. ChromeVox reads the word "space" between most words and it is read in a very halting way during continuous reading or line by line reading.
