no longer possible to select multiple tabs with top-chrome-md |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 68.0.3397.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit) OS: Windows 10 1709 (OS Build 16299.371) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Open several tabs (2) Click on multiple tabs while holding down Ctrl. (3) While still holding Ctrl, drag tabs. What is the expected result? Multiple tabs drag off tabstrip into a new window. What happens instead? A maximum of one tab can be dragged off the tabstrip. Please use labels and text to provide additional information. This seems to be a regression with the change to top chrome - changing chrome://flags/#top-chrome-md to "Normal" fixes this regression. If this is a regression (i.e., worked before), please consider using the bisect tool (https://www.chromium.org/developers/bisect-builds-py) to help us identify the root cause and more rapidly triage the issue. For graphics-related bugs, please copy/paste the contents of the about:gpu page at the end of this report.

I mean when the tab strip background changed from white to grey...? I'm not sure what the actual name of the feature/launch is here (or which component?), but whatever that change was.

The background color change was due to the launch of custom-draw titlebars, but I would be surprised if that caused your issue. It wasn't connected to the #top-chrome-md flag. Can you say what value you had this flag set to that wasn't "normal"?

That's custom titlebar. But I just checked on Canary and I can drag multiple tabs out into a new window just fine, so I'm not sure that it's caused by that.

yes I checked again and it is possible to drag multiple tabs after selecting them with Ctrl, so it must have been PEBCAK before. Apologies for the false alarm. |
