I cannot reproduce this on Chrome 66.0.3359.106 which is rolling out to stable-channel users. Please confirm whether or not this issue has been resolved on your hardware.

This is likely a duplicate of issue 805146 .
Did to get v66 yet, can also confirm the issue on Nexus 5 (LG) - Android 6.0.1 - Chrome 65.0.3325.109
