Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.117 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Look at the bookmarks bar. 2. 3. What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? I just upgraded from Chrome 65 to 66 and the first problem I noticed is that my bookmarks don't fit on the screen anymore. The reason appears to be that extra space was added to the right of every icon for no apparent benefit. The new spacing looks bad because now the icons are spaced equidistant between the two adjoining labels. Did this work before? Yes 65 Chrome version: 66.0.3359.117 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version:

Thanks for filing the issue! Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 66.0.3359.117 using Windows 10 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Launched chrome 2. Bookmarked few pages We observed normal spacing between icons and text in bookmark bar. Attaching the screen shots of the same from M66 and M65 for reference. @Reporter: Could you please let us know if we have missed anything in the process. Sharing a screen shot explaining the issue would help us in triaging it in a better way.

Yes, I think it's related to that other issue. If I disable "Material Design in the rest of the browser's native UI" in "about:flags", then the bookmark icons and labels go back to normal.

As per your comment#4 the issue seems to be resolved after disabling the flag, hence marking it as wontfix. Please raise a new issue if you come across the similar bug in upcoming versions. Thanks! |
