||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 59.0.3071.125 OS: Android What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Settings->Accessibility->Force enable zoom (Enable) (2) Open chrome browser in landscape multi window mode. (3) Open http://m.naver.com (4) Click on any news article. (Ex: http://m.news.naver.com/read.nhn?id1=100&oid=001&aid=0010030188&mode=LSD) (5) Resize the window. What is the expected result? Page content should be resized properly along with window. What happens instead? Shows blank space/background color and contents not resized along with window. Note: This issue happens only when Force enable zoom option is enabled. Device: Galaxy Note8 (SM-N950F/DS) Android Version: 7.1.1

Does this only reproduce on specific sites? I tested on a Nexus 5x running OMR1 and wasn't able to reproduce, so it's not clear what percent of the time this bug reproduces. Our resizing background should be white, so I'd expect to see a white gutter if we aren't resizing the page properly. I believe the web contents use black to fill in extra space, so if we resizing the web contents viewport but not the webpage, I'd expect black. Grey is unexpected, unless Samsung devices don't use the window background for resizing. Perhaps the page itself has a grey background that's being drawn. Lowering to P3 given that it requires a combination of force enable zoom and multi-window mode and the website is still functional. If this bug is confirmed, it should move from Unconfirmed to Available.

It reproduces always on the below webpage. http://m.news.naver.com/read.nhn?id1=100&oid=001&aid=0010030188&mode=LSD This page itself has grey background. Issue reproduces only when force zoom is enabled. I'm not sure about other sites.

Tested the issue in Android and able to reproduce the issue. Similar behavior is observed since Chrome #60.0.3072.0 Steps Followed: 1. Launched the Chrome Browser with "Force enable zoom" in Chrome settings >> Accessibility. 2. Navigate to the URL: www.naver.com and tap on any link 3. Turn the device to landscape mode. 4. Enable multi window mode. 5. Keep resizing the window pane. 6. Observed that, a grey patch is displayed on the window where naver link is opened. Chrome versions tested: 60.0.3072.0, 65.0.3325.109(Stable), 67.0.3396.11(Canary) OS: Android 8.0.0 Android Devices: Samsung Note 8 This seems to be a Non-Regression issue as same behavior is seen since M60. Untriaged for further input's on this issue. Please navigate to below link for log's and screen cast-- go/chrome-androidlogs/833799 Note: This issue is not observed if "Force enable zoom" us not enabled. Sorry for the spam comment #10, had to update due to the network issue. Thanks!

Unless we can repro on more than this one individual site, I think this is another web site issue (not Chrome).

Thanks for checking! I'll try to do some debugging as time allows to make sure we're sending the right viewport size from the Java layer to the renderer. |
