CVE-2017-18224 CrOS: Vulnerability reported in Linux kernel

Project Member Reported by vomit.go...@appspot.gserviceaccount.com, Apr 16 2018

Issue description

VOMIT (go/vomit) has received an external vulnerability report for the Linux kernel.

Advisory: CVE-2017-18224
  Details: http://vomit.googleplex.com/advisory?id=CVE/CVE-2017-18224
  CVSS severity score: 1.9/10.0
  Description:

In the Linux kernel before 4.15, fs/ocfs2/aops.c omits use of a semaphore and consequently has a race condition for access to the extent tree during read operations in DIRECT mode, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (BUG) by modifying a certain e_cpos field.

OCFS is a cluster file system and I did not find any usage of this file system on our devices.

The fix is 3e4c56d41("ocfs2: ip_alloc_sem should be taken in ocfs2_get_block()").

The patch is not present in 4.14, 4.4, 3.18, 3.14, 3.10, 3.8.

Marking as WontFix as OCFS is not enabled in chromeos images.
