Pressing SHIFT+ESC gives a "shortcut change" message but SEARCH+ESC doesn't bring up task manager

Reported by d51...@gmail.com, Apr 16 2018

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 10452.54.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.102 Safari/537.36
Platform: 10452.54.0 (Official Build) beta-channel eve

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Press SHIFT+ESC and receive "shortcut change" notification (see attached). Task manager opens. Close task manager.
2. Press SEARCH+ESC as suggested by "shortcut change" notification. Task manager doesn't open. Nothing happens.
3.

What is the expected behavior?
Pressing SEARCH+ESC should open task manager if the shortcut has actually changed.

What went wrong?
Has the task manager shortcut actually changed as suggested by the "shortcut changed" notification?

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 66.0.3359.102 Channel: beta
OS Version: 10452.54.0
Flash Version: 29.0.0.134

wutao@ esc+shift shouldn't bring up task manager, just the notification, is it a regression?

67.0.3396.41 (Official Build) beta (64-bit)
10575.32.0 (Official Build) beta-channel eve

I'm still experiencing the same behavior. I just submitted new logs via the CTRL+SHFT+I "Submit Feedback" form referencing this bug and providing a link to it as well as new screenshots.

ovanieva@, I do not think so. esc+shift will bring up task manage and the notification.

afakhry@ can confirm this.

The last boolean is "true", which means the old shortcut still works [1].

The SEARCH+ESC works on ToT.
Search+Esc works for me.

We agreed with Albert long time ago to keep the old shortcut working.

Why would SEARCH+ESC *not* work on EVE then?
I tested on EVE, it works.

Did you remap your Search key to something else in the Keyboard Settings?

Hi afakhry@, would you please find owner for this if SEARCH+ESC does not work. Thanks.

This is not reproducible, so WontFix.
Still reproducible on my Pixelbook as of three weeks ago, last I tried. I
sent over tons of logs and photos regarding this issue.
Can you please check if you remapped the Search key to something else from the keyboard settings?
