Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/68.0.3397.0 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. shutdown windows 10 ; restart 2. start canary 3. What is the expected behavior? to be able to browse the internet What went wrong? black canary window. cant do anything, have to use the taskbar quit option to get out. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 68.0.3397.0 Channel: canary OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: disabled

You can also inject a task manager in the chrome browser, and force end task for "GPU Process".

Thanks for filing the issue! Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 68.0.3397.0 using Windows 10 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Launched chrome then exited the browser. 2. Shutdown the machine and restarted it again. 3. Opened chrome and browsed some content. We didn't observe any black screen. @Reporter: Could you please check the same in a clean profile with out any apps and extensions and let us know if the issue still persists.

As we are unable to reproduce the issue on latest stable 66.0.3359.181 and there is no response/Feedback from the reporter from so long time on comment#4 hence closing this issue and marking it as Won't fix. @Reporter: Please feel to raise a new issue if there are any issues with chrome. Thanks! |
