Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Click on hangouts balloon icon in the Browser
2. Start video call
3. The picture freezes and computer is unresponsive

What is the expected behavior?
Video conferencing running without affecting the system

What went wrong?
During the video call, the picture freezes while audio continues and both sides can be heard. The interface also freezes and doesn't respond to trackpad or screen touches. After a few minutes, the computer completely crashes and then restarts.

This was not an issue in the previous version of the OS. Only started since the recent update. I tried installing/reinstalling both Hangouts app and extension with the same result.
