qwer1304@ Thanks for the issue. Tested this issue on Windows 10 touch laptop - HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 on the reported version 67.0.3396.0 and the latest Canary 68.0.3397.0 and unable to reproduce the issue by following the below steps. 1. Launched Chrome and changed the system resolution to 1920 x 1080. 2. Logged into gmail and checked the option show Bookmarks Bar. 3. Clicked on the Gmail gear button and changed the Display mode to Cozy. 4. Can observe that the Cozy display mode is applied and no issues are seen. Changed the Chrome Zoom levels as well and no issues are observed. Attached is the screen cast for reference. Request you to retry the issue on a new chrome profile without any flags/extensions and update the thread with the observations. Thanks..

Tried that and the problem persists. I think you didn't have a task bar at the bottom, didn't you? (I do have a task bar at the bottom). I tried this with task bar disabled in desktop mode and voila - the problem does NOT repeat. So please try this with task bar visible.

Unable to reproduce the issue on the reported version 67.0.3396.0 using Win 10 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Turned Bookmarks bar display 2. Navigated to gmail 3. Changed Display Mode e.g to. Cozy We observed the dispaly getting changed after changing the mode accordingly. As we are unable to reproduce the issue from our end, removing label Needs-Bisect and requesting some one from ""UI"" team to look into it. Thanks!

As the issue is not reproducible from our end (...as per C#3,6 & 9) hence adding label "TE-NeedsTriageHelp" and requesting someone from UI team to have a look into this and help in further triaging it. Thanks!

As of Version 69.0.3473.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit) things got worse: now I need to set the zoom factor to 97% to make Cozy work.
