No three dots cutting state in inputs placeholder in focus state

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_3) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.181 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Type on input with cutted placeholder in three dots
2. Remove text
3. Placeholder is cutted but without three dots

What is the expected behavior?
Need to show three dots cutting placeholder state after removing text from input

Closing due to no enough information to reproduce the issue.

At lest, <input placeholder="..." style="text-overflow:ellipsis"> doesn't have this behavior.
