Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Copy text
2. Paste text into any sort of input field
3. Repeat in different contexts until you notice that chrome stops responding, you get the miserable Mac hang-spinner, and you have to force quite and restart all of your work

What is the expected behavior?
Copy-pasting should not hang the application

What went wrong?
Periodically, copy-pasting into a text field causes Chrome to hang indefinitely, as if something were deadlocking. The only solution is to force quit and start over

A few notes:
This is not a consistently reproducible bug (if it were, you wouldn't have users left on Mac), but it happens *often.*
It seems to happen more often using Google Docs than any other site. 
If it just happened and you paste into the same field it is likely to happen again. So the 'inconsistency' doesn't appear to be random, but tied to a very complicated and non-obvious scenario that needs to be met.
It happens with any and all kinds of text, any and all language settings and any and all profiles.

This makes Chrome/Chromium borderline unusable for a lot of workflows. I've started to seriously consider switching to Safari (of all the horrible things) just so I can keep doing my job.
