Since the Great Blink mv, the subtree repo we've been using as mirror origin is now empty. That subtree repo: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/third_party/WebKit/Source/devtools/

The new post-mv location is https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/master/third_party/blink/renderer/devtools/

We use this subtree repo in order to mirror to Github, allow 3rd party contributors an easy contribution mechanism, and to publish the frontend to NPM.

Two questions:
1) can the subtree repo be updated?
2) we need the the git history. can we do that?
