Debugger doesn't show all element widths

Reported by blake1...@gmail.com, Apr 11 2018

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.181 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Load the attached HTML
2. Note that the Person control and Expense controls don't line up
3. Through Chrome debugger look at element widths

What is the expected behavior?
Since the controls don't line up, you'd expect the widths to be unequal

What went wrong?
The debugger shows them equal but the display shows them unequal.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 65.0.3325.181 Channel: stable
OS Version: 64 bit Mint 17.3
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 29.0 r0

I checked through Firefox and it correctly shows the widths unequal.

Should probably change "expect the widths to be unequal" to "expect the _combined_ widths to be unequal"

blake1024@ Thanks for the issue.

Tested this issue on Windows 10 and Ubuntu 14.04 on the reported version 65.0.3325.181 and the latest Canary 68.0.3397.0 by following the below steps.

1. Launched Chrome and opened the given html file.
2. can observe that the Person control and Expense controls are not aligned correctly.
3. On navigating to Devtools -> Sources -> Debugger, as per the comment /* parts c+d-5 must equal b */, the value should be 255, but part b value is 260.
Attached is the screen cast for reference.

Request you to check and confirm is anything is missed form our end in triaging the issue.

Also request you to provide a screen cast/shot of the expected behaviour for the better understanding of the issue.

Thanks..

This happens due to text nodes that get added in-between your tags.

If you remove all the text nodes, than everything will align nicely (see attached file).
