Chrome Version: Eve 67.0.3392.0

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Go to google.com and tap on the search bar.
(2) Switch to handwriting mode when the virtual keyboard appears
(3) Handwrite some text
(4) Press the blue "enter" key on the right hand side

What is the expected result?
My handwritten text gets searched.

What happens instead?
Nothing.

I'm guessing this is because the enter key does not commit the current text (makes sense as there are many possible candidates). It was just really confusing when I encountered this for the first time. Perhaps we could make the enter key commit the top candidate?
