Autofill - Clicking in control does not trigger Autofill, character required

Project Member Reported by dougman@chromium.org, Apr 10 2018

Issue description

Chrome Version: 67.0.3393.1 Canary
OS: Android 8.1.0 on Pixel 2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Navigate to https://rsolomakhin.github.io/autofill/
(2) Enter VR Browsing
(3) Click in the Name edit box for "Profile Autofill" form

NOTE - if this is the first time to use the control you can use the buttons to fill the controls and then refresh the page to clear it before the test.

What is the expected result?
The Autofill list should appear with the list of names.

What happens instead?
The Autofill list does not appear. It only appears after typing at least 1 character in the control. If you type a space you get the complete list as expected.

Desktop requires two clicks, but Android outside VR Browsing works on a single click.

Image shows what is expected on a single click.

The following revision refers to this bug:
  https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src.git/+/26a4df44b860febb9b9282f71cff043208159817

commit 26a4df44b860febb9b9282f71cff043208159817
Author: Aldo Culquicondor <acondor@chromium.org>
Date: Fri Jul 13 19:14:14 2018

VR: Show autofill popup on first touch

The VR keyboard doesn't take content space, so we don't need to wait
for a window resize to do the auto-scroll to the focused view. We
add a new parameter to the result receiver to indicate this.
