Extra spaces added when typing after swype

Project Member Reported by dvallet@chromium.org, Apr 10 2018

Issue description

Google Chrome	65.0.3325.209 (Official Build) beta (64-bit)
Revision	0
Platform	10323.67.0 (Official Build) beta-channel soraka
Firmware Version	Google_Soraka.10431.17.0

Steps To Reproduce:
if you write a word with the swipe keyboard and later try to change it (click the middle of the word, delete a letter, replace it with something else), a bogus space is added. This also happens after you open a parentheses

Confirmed on Eve Canary 67.0.3392.0.

Perhaps we shouldn't add a space if there's a character immediately after the cursor?

I can't repro it on version 68.0
How did you commit the candidate of swipe?
Do you press "space" to commit it?

Do you expect press "space" to commit and won't add extra space?

I'm currently on69 and I'm getting the opposite issues, space not added as expected, but randomly likebetween the on and the69 ...see there again.
Happens all the time with 71.0.3578.57
