[Component Request] Chrome Cleanup |
||||||||||||||||||||
Issue description1] Component Name: Chrome Cleanup This component is for tracking bug reports about the Chrome Cleanup tool. Currently there's no obvious category for external reporters, so we've been seeing confusion over how to file bugs. "Chrome Cleanup" is the public name of the tool. It was formerly a separate app called the Chrome Cleanup Tool, and there is a lot of press referring to it by that name, but currently it presents to users with a UI that's part of Chrome and accessed with a button labelled "Clean up computer" (https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2765944, under "Check your computer for malware"). The name "Chrome Cleanup" (without "tool") covers both of these. 2] Parent Component (e.g. Blink, UI>Browser, etc...): Services > Safe Browsing 3] Description of Component: The chrome_cleanup_tool.exe and software_reporter_tool.exe processes that find and remove Unwanted Software (UwS). 4] Admin/ Owner: csharp@chromium.org 5] Please specify what triage practices will be followed for the component (i.e. what team will do it and how frequently). Chrome Protector team (chrome-protector@google.com) owns this component. Bugs will be triaged weekly by as part of the team's on-call rotation.

Thanks! But I didn't realize spaces weren't allowed in component names so autofill doesn't actually find this when typing "chrome cleanup". Can you please change the component description to The Chrome Cleanup tool (chrome_cleanup_tool.exe and software_reporter_tool.exe) that finds and removes Unwanted Software (UwS).
