Issue descriptionChrome version : 67.0.3393.0 (64-bit) Revision 3298a607d7e8b39d8426591a1edc48b8cf7eaa7a-refs/heads/master@{#549377} OS: Mac(10.13.5 Touchbar) Steps to reproudce: 1.Launch chrome and navigate to gmail.com 2.Click on security chip and select site setting. 3.Reload the page several times from tab strip of MAC touch bar and observe. Actual Result : Site settings Page turns blank after reloading the page from Tab strip of MAC Touch bar Expected Result :Site settings Page should not turn blank after reloading the page from Tab strip of MAC Touch bar This is a Non-regression issue broken from M-60. Note:Issue is reproducible on Stable M-65 #65.0.3325.181 Beta M-66 #66.0.3359.81 Canary M-67 #67.0.3393.0 Kindly refer the attached screen-cast. Thank you.

I can't reproduce this using Cmd-R refresh, only touch bar refresh. Is there something about how quickly one can repeatedly refresh using the touch bar that causes the WebUI to not load completely?

With respect to comment #4 : Use touch panel for reloading the page which is provided specially in MAC Touch-bar. Reload the page several times (say above 5 to 7 times) and then issue is seen. With respect to comment #7: Issue is seen on chrome://settings/autofill and chrome://settings/passwords as well. Note:I have seen one more issue in this when i reload the chrome://settings/autofill and navigate back observe chrome://settings page.Observe the advanced options page .I Have attached screen-cast for this . Thank You.

Yup - I tried this with Xcode's touchbar simulator + a colleague's touchbar laptop, and couldn't reproduce it. What I suspect is actually happening is that the "Stop loading" button was actually pressed instead of the refresh. I.e., while the page is refreshing, the refresh button turns into a "x" to "Stop loading this page" (just like the actual refresh button in the Top Chrome). So I think the page (and the Advanced parts of the chrome:settings/ page as shown in #c8) are blank because the chrome:settings page was told to stop loading before it finished refreshing. I'll close this as WontFix, but shruti.jadhav@etouch.net - please reopen if you tried it again without pressing the stop loading button and this still happens. Thanks! |
