Password was not saved and I'm locked out |
|
Issue descriptionCopying from b/74584091 I recently registered to a website, selected the password to be generated, then the password was lost. Now I'm not able to login. Details: - There was another older password saved for that site, which has not been updated. - An update to Chrome was pending. After registering on the website and choosing the password to be generated by Chrome I tried logging in. At this point no password showed up saved for the website. I went to settings and looked in the passwords settings page: it was empty besides a single entry (I should instead have many passwords saved). I hence restarted Chrome to apply the update, once restarted it asked me to login again and enter the sync passphrase again. I did that and all passwords seems like they re-appeared. However, it seems that only the old password for that website is now saved, not the latest one that was generated.

Hmm, unfortunately I don't recall if I was on my Mac, my Linux or my Chromebook when this happened. If I had to guess it was Linux. |
