Issue descriptionDevice 1: Mac laptop Chrome Version: (copy from chrome://version) Google Chrome 66.0.3359.81 (Official Build) (64-bit) Revision fb2352fc7d3d530687ff90d6ccc195efd640c1a7-refs/branch-heads/3359@{#569} OS Mac OS X JavaScript V8 6.6.346.19 Flash 29.0.0.113 /Users/jiewu/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/PepperFlash/29.0.0.113/PepperFlashPlayer.plugin Device 2: iPad Chrome Version: 66.0.3359.82 (Chrome Beta) The disabled data types in iPad are not disabled in the Mac laptop sync settings. What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Sign in to Chrome on device 1 and device 2 (2) Make sure that "Settings" data type is checked on all the devices. (3) Make sure that "Custom passphrase" is not set in advanced sync settings (4) On device 2 Chrome change any preference, for example enable/disable "Autofill" or "Bookmarks" in the settings and sync (5) Wait for some time and then check the laptop What is the expected result? The disabled data types in device 2 are disabled in the laptop sync settings after sync. What happens instead? The disabled data types in device 2 are not disabled in the laptop sync settings This is my first time to take over Chrome Sync testing to be the owner. If there is any step I happened to miss to cause this issue, please kindly let me know. I will include those steps in my future testing.

From the ENG side: works as intended. Reassigning to PM to clarify if this is really intended (and is intended post-Dice).
