[MacViews-Browser] Omnibox and Settings Button flicker when opening a new tab, when extensions are hidden in Settings Menu |
|||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: Canary 67.0.3390.0 OS: macOS 10.12.6 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Enable chrome://flags/#views-browser-windows (2) Install some extensions (3) Shrink the window to a smaller size, so that the Extension Toolbar buttons disappear in the Settings menu (4) Press CMT-T to open a new tab What is the expected result? a) The Settings icon width to the window border should not shrink b) The Omnibox and the Settings Button should not flicker What happens instead? a) The Settings icon width to the window border shrinks b) The Omnibox and the Settings Button flicker Maybe this has something to do with the missing min-width of windows, that I reported in issue 827199 ? A screencast is attached.

I *think* this is fixed with Issue 827199 but I only tested with one extension. Will verify with next Canary.

Able to reproduce this issue on Mac OS 10.12.6 on the reported version 67.0.3390.0 and the issue is fixed on the latest Canary 68.0.3419.0 by following the steps given in the original comment. By enabling #views-browser-windows flag, adding an extension and by resizing the window, can observe that the extensions icon is not shrinking and the omnibox and settings button is not flickering. Attached is the screen cast for reference. Hence adding TE verified labels as the fix is working as intended. Thanks.. |
