Which file manager app is this ? Do you have steps to reproduce ?

Is this about Android app or is this something completely different?
I downloaded every file manager app from google play store and none of them read the SD card, very frustrating.

Same here.

I've read on Reddit, that some people are able to see SD cards connected to Chromebooks in Android apps just fine (most recent example: https://www.reddit.com/r/chromeos/comments/8h2opt/v68_is_smoother/dyhikub/), but I cannot.

I tried with Solid Explorer (also with USB OTG addon) and Total Commander. Both do not see SD card (same thing happens with pendrive's connected to USB ports). Android storage settings also do not see any SD card or pendrive (tried FAT32 and exFAT). The only place they are visible is Chrome OS Files app.

I have ASUS C202SA (terra) with Chrome OS Beta 67.0.3396.26, Platform 10575.22.0, Firmware Google_Terra.7287.154.102, ARC 4749218.

Issue is fixed for me after update to version 67.0.3396.41, Platform 10575.32.0, ARC 4765583. I can see SD cards and USB memory in Android apps.

Just did an update but it's not the same version as yours, it's Version 66.0.3359.137 (Official Build) (32-bit), Platform 10452.74.0 (Official Build) stable-channel bob, ARC 4734322. File managers still don't read the SD card after this update, only from Chrome OS files app. Rats!

I'm on beta channel, that's why I have version 67. 66 is on stable, so you'll have to wait few weeks for 67 unless you switch to beta.
Oh ok, that's the channel it was on, I haven't changed it. Figured stable was the way to go. Would beta be better?

Comment 14 by reva...@gmail.com, May 12 2018

Well, I never had any serious issues with beta channel.
Ok, good to know, thanks!
I'm now on the same version as yours now on Stable. Can you tell me what android file manager you are using at mine still doesn't read the SD card? I'm using File Manager HD, which I love, other than it doesn't see my SD card.

I'm using Solid Explorer and the one built into Android (Android Settings > Storage > tap you SD card).
Thanks, I don't want to pay for Solid Explorer.
