Thanks for filing the issue! Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 65.0.3325.181 and on the latest canary 67.0.3388.0 using Mac 10.13.1 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Opened chrome. 2. Have put the Mac in sleep mode for sometime, then woke up. we didn't see any unusual change in UI. @ajdunn83: Could you please check the same on a new profile and let us know if the issue still exist. It would be highly helpful if clarified whether the same issue is seen on other machines too. Any further inputs from your end may help us in triaging the issue in a better way.

Maximize (green circle) will fix it as a stop-gap.

Here's a shot of what you get after moving chrome back to an external monitor: notice no tabs, and the top if the page cannot be scrolled to. I closed the chrome window, opened a new one, and all the tabs showed up.

If we can repro this issue with mac-views, we should put it on the polish list, otherwise, we should mark as CocoaBrowser.

Hi all, and thanks for your patience. I'm investigating this, but haven't had any luck triggering it myself. If anyone can do this consistently, starting from creating a new Chrome window, please chime in (with steps and a video, ideally)!

We landed a change for another issue that we think may have solved this. For anyone affected, could you try the latest Canary and see if the problem is fixed?

Issue 839731 which just got merged in mentions the download bar, which I now see is in the screenshot in comment 1. If anyone is still seeing this, please let me know if the download bar is visible when it happens.

My report also had the download bar showing: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=836815 Seems plausible that it's that code that's the cause.
,
May 7 2018
Looks like download bar was key to getting the repro. Can confirm that it's fixed in Canary, please reopen if this pops up again in Canary.

I had no problem reproducing, but to confirm, just tested with the current release, and the download bad is indeed required to reproduce. I can't yet test canary though, but will report back if the fix, once released, does not work for me.
