Opening a new tab in Chrome makes all bluetooth devices disconnected

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.181 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Pair bluetooth device to macbook
2. Open a new tab
3. Sometimes (few times a day), so it is about 1 out of 500 opened tabs, all bluetooth devices become disconnected. Resetting the bluetooth module and the devices doesn't help. Rebooting the macbook doesn't always help either

Sometimes it helps to immediately open another tab using laptop's keyboard, sometimes not.

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
When a user opens a new tab, Chrome sometimes tries to access microphone to use voice search which breaks bluetooth connectivity.

Resolution:

Go to chrome://flags/ and disable option "Enable Voice Search on the local NTP"

I was using Magic Keyboard 2. Never seen this issue when using internal laptop keyboard

As ET team do not have Magic Keyboard, checked the issue by connecting mobile to MacBook with bluetooth. Observing Not connected as status but able to transfer file successfully.

Could someone from Inhouse team please help in triaging this issue with Bluetooth keyboard. Hence adding TE-NeedsTriageFromHYD label.

Unable to test this issue from TE-end because of Non-Availability of bluetooth device, hence adding TE-NeedsTriageHelp label for further triage

This is weird - just opening a new tab shouldn't trigger usage of the microphone. And even then, why would using the mic break bluetooth?!
Also note that this CL only affects the local NTP, which should be seen only in rare cases.

In any case, over to new NTP owners.

I'm unable to reproduce the disconnection using Mac version 10.13.3 and a Magic Trackpad 1 (tried both remote and local NTP). Will need to see how this reproduces with a bluetooth keyboard, as I'm not sure what could cause this.
