Issue descriptionChrome Version: 67.0.3387.0 (Official Build) Revision c8a34cf719bcf005b2e29ca6fba37c6a35505b57-refs/heads/master@{#547597} (32/64 Bit). OS: Win(7,8,8.1,10),Mac(10.12.6,10.13.1,10.13.4) and Linux(14.04 LTS) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1)Launch chrome and navigate to https://wrong.host.badssl.com/input/password/ (2)Crash the page manually via chrome://kill (3)Now reload the page and observe. Actual: New tab page appears after reloading the kill page. Expected: wrong.host.badssl.com page should appear after reloading the kill page. This is a Non-regression issue seen from 'M63' series i.e 63.0.3203.0

I think it could be argued that this is WIA, assuming after step 1 you're on an interstitial, as the navigation is not complete. I think it is low priority, or even not worth fixing, it isn't WAI. Adding the Emily's who should feel free to disagree with me and reopen.

I don't think it's a problem that the interstitial or the NTP shows up after reload (that is, I don't care which one it is), but the flash of the interstitial is weird. I'll keep this open just for "interstitials are weird" tracking purposes. |
