@Amy/Gordon/Husain - do you know more about this one?

Circular loader = the spinner that wraps around the play/pause button. (I think this spinner is for buffering? Not totally sure though. Amy would know.)

Yes it's the buffering loader

Yes, buffering for page loads. Visual reference here: https://drive.google.com/corp/drive/folders/1pJ7pgo3CgcJzZTFB51e76r71b2ZzTa1u

My understanding is that gordonbrander@ expects the circular loader to show up when buffering but we only show it for the initial load and use the timeline buffering indication afterwards. Please reopen if I either misunderstood the bug or the UX requirements.

The indicator was missing altogether — didn't show up for initial load either. Additionally, per Becca's comment and Amy's link to above, it also sounds like perhaps this is supposed to be implemented for buffering also? Amy, is that correct?

On a fast connection the spinner can be pretty quick on initial load, so you may have just missed it. We do not show the spinner for buffering (only during the initial metadata load).

Closing as WontFix since I believe this is just a miscommunication about when it's supposed to show up. Feel free to reopen if I'm misinterpreting |
