|||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: M65 OS: Mac (but all) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Go to http://output.jsbin.com/dihunup (code: http://jsbin.com/dihunup/edit?html,output) and translate from French to English What is the expected result? All the text should be in English. What happens instead? Only the text that's not outside of the shadow root gets translated. (see screenshot)

Hi - this bug was reported a month ago, and my client (@ Google Cloud) has identified this as a roadblock. Can someone provide a status update? Thanks.

anthonyvd@, can anyone in translate team triage and work on this?

Thanks for bringing this up, I'll chat with the autofill team to see if a similar solution applies to Translate. In an effort to help set realistic expectations: I *just* took over the Chrome Language team and I'm currently the only engineer. Because of this, I can't commit to a timeline on this but I'll make sure to take a look when I'm back from vacation. |
