MacOS: "Policy level is not supported" for policy RegisteredProtocolHandlers |

Issue descriptionChrome version: 65.0.3325.146 OS version: MacOS X Case#: 15197961 Description: Customer wants to configure the Protocol Handlers for Chrome from JAMF. He is having an error on chrome://policy, it shows "Policy level is not supported". When going to chrome://settings/handlers, the list is blank. Steps to reproduce: 1. Deployed setting via JAMF, 2. Browser is not taking the policy sent. Current Behavior / Reproduction: Policy is received but has a configuration error Expected Behavior: Policy should be received and applied to Chrome browser. As per documentation, RegisteredProtocolHandlers can only be recommended. In your screenshot, it appears as being set as mandatory. Hence, the error you're getting. https://www.chromium.org/administrators/policy-list-3#RegisteredProtocolHandlers Changing this to WontFix, please let us know if changing to recommended fixes the issue. Thanks. |
