(1) break chromebook so you need to do factory reset (2) attempt to create recovery media with https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/chromebook-recovery-utili/jndclpdbaamdhonoechobihbbiimdgai/related (3) linux not currently supported What is the expected result? Be able to create recovery media for google product What happens instead? functionality not available on linux

doing a little bit more digging...looks like there *is* such a recovery mechanism though it's on the commandline, which is just as well...though it doesn't work that's a separate issue. ( It was hidden way at the bottom of https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/1080595?hl=en-GB which is fair)

Thanks for filing the issue! As mentioned in "steps to reproduce the problem" in comment#0, issue seems related to chrome book, hence adding appropriate OS label to it. Thanks!
