html5 Video object in foreignObject within svg displays outside of it's container and it's controls don't function

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.181 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Create <foreignObject> within <g> tag, set it's x, y, width and height attributes 2. Create <video> object within it's tag set width to 100%, height to auto and possibly x and y attribute What is the expected behavior? video object adjusts it's size to responsively fit the container, and it's contents menu works. What went wrong? video object does not respect it's parents boundaries and video can't be played at all. Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 65.0.3325.181 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 29.0 r0

Marking WontFix due to lack of feedback. It's conceivable this has been fixed recently with other foreign object stacking context related issues, plus SPv175. |
