Scrolling jumps on badssl.com |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 67.0.3379.0/Canary OS: Android What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Navigate to https://badssl.com (2) Scroll the page down a little (3) Click "expired" (4) Press the back button, you should now be back on badssl.com (5) Scroll up just a little, notice the scroll jumps What is the expected result? Scroll should never jump. This is very similar to https://crbug.com/821191 but in this bug, the jump amount seems to be equal to the url bar hiding height. Requesting a bisect to see when this regressed.

Tested the issue in Android and able to reproduce the issue. Similar behavior is observed since Chrome #66.0.3359.46 Steps Followed: 1. Launched the Chrome Browser. 2. Navigate to the URL: https://badssl.com 3. Scroll the page down a little 4. Click "expired" 5. Press the back button, you should now be back on badssl.com 6. Observed that page is scrolled down a bit. Chrome versions tested: 66.0.3359.46(Beta), 67.0.3379.0(Canary) OS: Android 8.1, Android 7.0.0 Android Devices: Pixel XL, Samsung J7 Leaving this issue as Untriaged as we are unable to provide bisect. Because, issue is not reproduced on all the equivalent signed builds. (Can be observed in the screen cast in the URL below) Please navigate to below link for log's and screen cast-- go/chrome-androidlogs/825881 Thanks!

Because the scroll jump looks roughly equal to the url bar height, assigning to bokan? This doesn't look like a recent regression. I hit this in real life using gogo inflight wifi which tries to MITM some sites using bad certs.
