Steps to reproduce the problem:
1.Powerwash
2.Set settings to NOT sync
3.All data is synced and unable to reset

What is the expected behavior?
To NOT be managed by someone else!!! To not be synced with an unknown android device.

What went wrong?
I am looking to you to answer that question

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 64.0.3282.167 Channel: n/a
OS Version: 10176.72.0
Flash Version: 10176.72.0 (Official Build) stable-channel banon

Have had nothing but bad luck with this chromebook.

And I don't want to be managed by someone else!!! I am the sole owner of this chromebook! Why are my settings being managed?

Comment 2 by mhy...@gmail.com, Mar 25 2018

I also require my bluetooth to be disabled as well.

First off, thanks for reporting this issue! I'll need some more details to understand what's going on here.

Let me give you some background on how sync is supposed to work:
After you sign in to the Chromebook with your Google account (mhyrcf@gmail.com), all settings stored with that account will be synced down to the device. If you turn off sync in the settings, any further changes you make will not be synced anymore, but the settings that were already synced down will stay.

Why are you saying that you're being managed by someone else? Are there settings that you can't change?

I see something about "enterprise enrollment" in the command line flags. Is it possible that this is (or was) a company-owned device? That might explain why some settings can't be changed.

This chromebook was purchased new from Walmart. It was NEVER used by a business. Also, attached files show the android settings I was able to capture. I tried to disable each one as I do not own an android, anything.

So why is my chromebook being managed and synced to an iphone??

Thanks for your response.

SetHostname Failed: Manager: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.chromium.flimflam was not provided by any .service files

This appears in my device log.

About the "Android things" in the screenshot in comment 4: Those are there because it's now possible to run Android apps on the Chromebook, see for example: https://blog.google/topics/education/android-apps-coming-to-chromebook-near/
For this reason, the Chromebook now includes some parts of Android. But this does not mean that anything is being synced to a separate Android device - it's all on the Chromebook.

I still don't understand what exactly you mean by "unable to unsync anything". Can you describe what exactly isn't working?
