I tried to reproduce the bug. I could still reproduced it on asan-linux-debug-470007 (dated 3/28/17), so definitely been a bug for a LONG time. 

I mean asan-linux-debug-460007 (dated 3/28/17)

I tried to download earlier version to test, but they were too old that I don't have the right library for them anymore.

I am gonna put it aside for now. But feel free to fix it if this interests you.
