Remove ChromeOS --git-cache code. |

Issue descriptionOur builders are now using the Chrome Infra git wrapper which invisibly uses git cache. So, we should probably remove git cache support from our recipe, cbuildbot_launch, cbuildbot, and unfork our copy of repo.

(the git wrapper does do transparent retries of transient failures though).

Oh... I thought the cache support was already in place. Good to know.

Hi Don, Is this change still valid? It seems that we need to leave the git cache in place until the wrapper supports it transparently. Is that true? If so, should we go ahead and close this? Thanks, Mike

I think we should find out the plan for adding transparent caching first. Robbie?

The transparent git cache has (unfortunately) been made much lower priority. We still want to do it, but I created a workaround for our P1 use case last quarter (namely; recipes in LUCI are now distributed via CIPD and not via Git). I think the thing to do is to watch/work on issue 800447 and then revisit this.
