Looks like either an NTP or offline page issue. fgorski@, twellington@, would you please help triage this?

I tried reproducing on ToT or 67.0.3382.0 and I wasn't able to reproduce (Nexus 5x on OMR1). Is this possibly device specific? Or fixed in newer versions of Chrome?

Could the offline pages provider incorrectly be reporting that the page is downloaded? Or could this be a result of automatic bookmark offlining?

This is happening because when user bookmarks a page, Clank saves the offline representation of the page as well and keeps it for a while as cache. This cached page should not be indicated in UI since it is invisible for the user, except that it is used as substitute when device is offline. The fix likely is to remove the checkmark when only bookmark-triggered cache of the page is present. |
