clicking delete from password content setting does not delete password immediately |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 67.0.3377.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit) (cohort: Clang-64) OS: Windows 10 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Save a password (2) Visit the page that has the password (3) Click the little key in the omnibox and then the little bin icon to delete it (4) refresh page What is the expected result? Password does not autofill What happens instead? Password autofills even though I deleted it. Please use labels and text to provide additional information. I tried this a few times, could never get the autofill to stop happening, so I went to chrome://settings/passwords and it was still listed, but then (without deleting it or doing any more actions) when I then re-visited the page, the password was no longer filling, almost like there was a delay in the fill, or something? Not sure what is happening here, perhaps a flake? But I wanted to file a bug as it seemed quite serious if the little bin icon in the tooltip isn't doing anything. For graphics-related bugs, please copy/paste the contents of the about:gpu page at the end of this report.

Was it happening on facebook.com? Open chrome://settings/passwords in the second tab. Once you click the bin icon, is the password gone from the list? So far it sounds similar to https://crbug.com/821763

Will, can you reproduce it in the old profile and answer the questions in Comment #2? I can't reproduce it too.

I mark it as a duplicate. We know that there is a code path that removes the credentials (that may be deleted by the user already) and then adds it again. |
