I can't reproduce this on my Pixel 2, looking at trying on other devices. I wonder if there is a difference in shared memory behavior on older Android versions because the symptoms do seem so similar to issue 805146 .

Tested the issue in Android and able to reproduce the issue. Similar behavior is observed on reported Chrome #66.0.3359.46 Steps Followed: 1. Launched the Chrome Browser. 2. Navigate to the URL: http://code.viget.com/device-motion-demo/ 3. Shake the device little bit. 4. Observed that values are not displayed for ".accleration" ".rotationRate", "DeviceOrientation". Chrome versions tested: 66.0.3359.46(Beta), 67.0.3378.0(Dev & Canary) OS: Android 7.0.0 Android Devices: Samsung J7 This seems to be a Non-Regression issue as same behavior is seen since M60. Untriaged for further input's on this issue. Please navigate to below link for log's and screen cast-- go/chrome-androidlogs/824032 Note: 1. Similar behavior is observed on FireFox. 2. Reported device Lenovo TB3-710F doesn't provide all the sensors as in Pixel, I believe values for the respective components are based on sensors. 3. Specifications URL of Lenovo TB3-710F - https://www.gsmarena.com/lenovo_tab3_7-7951.php 4. Samsung J7 has Accelerometer, proximity only. 5. Issue is not reproduced on reported Chrome #66.0.3359.46 on Pixel Android 8.1 Please let us know if testing on any other device is required. Thanks!

Tested on Galaxy S4 - everything works fine. It is probably issue with the device sensors of Lenovo and Point of View. Please close the issue. Thank you!

Closing as a non-regression due to hardware issues. |
