Cannot make HTTP service calls after Chrome 65 latest upgrade. Issue occurs only since latest chrome upgrade in phone(65)

Issue description

Device name:
1+ 5T

From "Settings > About Chrome"
Application version: 65.0.3325.109
Operating system: Android

URLs (if applicable):

Steps to reproduce:
(1) Make HTTP request to a specific server URL
(2)
(3)

Expected result:
HTTP request succeeds and returns a response from server

Actual result:
The request gets redirected to https protocol and fails as the server does not support HTTPS.

With Chrome update version 62.0.3202.84, the same HTTP calls are working fine.
Issue occurs only after chrome upgrade to version 65
