Hi,

I am sorry to hear that! In order to figure out what is going on, I need more specific information from you.
 - In which way does it fail miserably?
 - Can you login to Google in your phone (adding Google account, not related to Chrome)
 - Can you login to Google on the web (on your desktop)?
 - Did you use custom passphrase in Chrome Sync before?
