Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.186 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Create Chrome Extension and add 'short_name' key and value in manifest.json 2. Install the extension by loading an unpacked extension in the extensions tab 3. Warning will be displayed: Unrecognized manifest key 'short_name ' What is the expected behavior? short_name just like name is in the official google chrome extensions developer website (https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/manifest/name#short_name), and because of that no warning should be produced What went wrong? The following message was shown to me: There were warnings when trying to install this extension: Unrecognized manifest key 'short_name '. WebStore page: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-urls-decoder/fccpjkafgoedeodcfoiibmanhjdhhdod Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 64.0.3282.186 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: 29.0.0.113 I'm the developer of this extension but i couldn't find an appropriate option when choosing developer's side in the previous screen so i have chosen the end-user extensions option.

As per comment#2 from the reporter the issue got resolved by removing the extra space, hence closing it and marking it as won't fix. Thanks! |
