VR: Hover audio doesn't play sometimes

Every now and then the hover sounds stop working. That happens for both the buttons (our sounds) and the keyboard. But not necessarily at the same time.

Actually, it could be my headphones too. Can't repro with the phone speakers. And sometimes it doesn't play recordings of the sounds on my desktop even though I can see the audio being there in audacity.

Based on that last comment, shouldn't we close this until there's a repro without those headphones involved?
