Overscroll history navigation is displayed while seeking video on tap. |
||
Issue descriptionChrome Version : 67.0.3369.0 OS Version: 10489.0.0 What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Enable "New Media Controls" flag at chrome://flags/#enable-modern-media-controls 2. Go to https://googlechrome.github.io/samples/media-session/video.html 3. In "tablet mode", tap "Play" button 4. In "tablet mode", tap the controls timeline to seek forward What is the expected result? It should simply seek forward. What happens instead of that? It seeks forward but also shows the overscroll history navigation UI. See https://plus.google.com/+FrancoisBeaufort/posts/E6FstF9hFs3 for what is is. I think the tap events should simply call preventDefault() but I'm not 100% sure this is the right fix. Just a hint.

I'm able to repro with legacy controls on 64.0.3282.190 (Official Build) (64-bit). Not sure if that means that it's not a regression, since some changes we've made affect the legacy controls. But it's at least not specific to the new controls and it's already something in stable

Not a launch blocker then but something we should try to fix ASAP.

Do we still want to try to fix this?

Yeah, it's just been a lower priority and isn't an easy fix AFAICT |
